AGO opens a new production for industrial high-temperature heat pumps in Kulmbach

Kulmbach, 01.02.2023:

Since 01.02.2023 the AGO their newly developed high-temperature heat pumps in the modernly equipped production hall in Kulmbach. Up to 25 large heat pumps are planned to be built on a production area of over 700 m2.

AGO has developed the world's first high-temperature heat pump based on the natural fabric pair ammonia/water, with which heat supply up to 150 °C is possible. With this patented heat pump solution, CO2-free heat supply is possible on an industrial scale from about 0.5 megawatt to about 10 megawatts per heat pump and uniquely high efficiency.
The heat demand in industry and also in district heating is often well above 100 °C at temperatures and has hitherto been almost exclusively covered by the combustion of fossil fuels. In the future, these hot and hot water boiler plants – if possible – will be replaced by high-temperature heat pumps operated with green electricity.

The AGO developed Bavarian top technology is an important component for the transformation of municipal and industrial heat supply in Germany.
