AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen has its headquarters in Kulmbach since 1980 and has been part of RheinEnergie AG in Cologne since 01.07.2020. Our company specializes in innovative and efficient energy systems for industry and municipalities.
We employ about 180 employees and offer graduates interesting training opportunities in various technical professions. In addition to plant planning and plant engineering, we advise our contractual partners and customers and offer the corresponding service.
The name AGO has long since become synonymous with efficiency, safety and technology competence in power plants such as block heating power plants, in heat, cold and air engineering plant construction, biomass heating power plants or combined heat and heat.
AGO's top priority is always the satisfaction of our customers. In order to secure this permanently, we combine pioneering technologies with proven service quality and professional competence and individuality.

Management

Günther Hein
(Birth year 1965) was a member of the Board of Management of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen since September 2011 – June 2020 and has been managing director of AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen since 2013. In the company, he is responsible for technology and sales. Since September 2012, Mr Hein has also been a member of the Regional Board of the Bavarian Metal and Electrical Industry.
From 2009 – 2011 he was responsible for the renovation of the company at KKT Kraus Klima u. Kühlungtechnik GmbH in Lauf an der Pegnitz as managing director. Until 2009, Mr. Hein worked for nine years as a sales manager and part of the management at Hyfra Industriekühlanlagen GmbH in Neuwied.
As a native Namibian he was managing partner of Atlatek refrigeration technology in Swakopmund/Namibia from 1991 to 2001.

Georg-Stephan Wilkening
(Birth year 1975) was the Executive Board of AGO AG Energie + Anlagen from the end of May 2013 to 2020 and has been Managing Director of AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen since July 2020. Mr. Wilkening is responsible for finance, controlling and personnel.
From 2001 to 2008, he was a consultant with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and IBM Global Business Services and responsible for project and program management and process optimization and strategy consulting.
