AGO delivers two new 50 t large-scale water boiler to K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH

K+S Minerals and Agriculture GmbH is an important manufacturer of potash and magnesium products. Both electrical energy and heat are needed for the production at the Werra plant, for which a separate gas and steam power plant is operated.

The AGO Energy + plants from Kulmbach were commissioned to renew the plant for the reserve steam generation.

This steam boiler system consists of two new two-burner large-scale water space boilers with a power of 50 t/h superheated steam each. A boiler has a weight of about 90 t, a length of about 11.5 m, a width of about 4.7 m and a height of about 5 m.

Due to the high weight and the structural dimensions of the boilers, these units were supplied by special transport. On site a 650 t crane was required to introduce the boilers via the roof into the adjacent building.
