CHP of the month January 2022

Innovative iKWK plant at the University of Bayreuth campus

The magazine Energy + Management has the AGO GmbH Energie + Anlagen erected iKWK plant on the campus of the University of Bayreuth CHP of January 2022.

The iKWK plant consists of a CHP, two heat pumps, one electric boiler and two natural gas boilers that are intelligently connected to each other. The system supplies the University of Bayreuth with heat and cold and achieves an annual CO2 savings of about 5,000 tons.

The facility was conceived and implemented by us in cooperation with the municipal works of Bayreuth under the scientific supervision of the Institute for Energy Technology at the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden.
